The thyroid is a small gland in your throat that regulates your bodies hormones, which chemically affects many various parts of your body. A Thyroid panel is group of tests that helps you evaluate if your thyroid is under or overactive by measuring the amount of hormones in your body. The thyroid panel tests a few things specifically: Thyroxine tests for hypothyroidism; T3: triiodothyronine tests; and FT3: Free T3, or free triiodothyronine, which tests how effectively the thyroid bonds to your bloodstream.
